Francine Dupuis

I am pleased to welcome Francine Dupuis as Associate CEO of the Centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux (CIUSSS) du Centre-Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal. Ms. Dupuis will work alongside me when I assume my duties on April 1 as President-Director General of Montreal’s new west-central healthcare region, which includes the JGH.

Ms. Dupuis brings a wealth of administrative and clinical experience to her new role. She is the Director General of the Cavendish CSSS, interim Director General of the Constance-Lethbridge Rehabilitation Centre, and the former Executive Director of CLSC Saint-Louis-du-Parc, where she held several other managerial positions.

With training as a nurse clinician and in healthcare management, Ms. Dupuis has worked primarily in community-based health care, but she has also served in Montreal’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

In addition, Ms. Dupuis is trilingual (she speaks Spanish), has a deep love of literature and takes great pride in her family. I am delighted that she will be providing our CIUSSS with the benefit of such a rich and accomplished background.

“I look upon my appointment as an opportunity to help take patient care to the next level,” Ms. Dupuis says. “The changes to the organizational structure of the healthcare system are significant, but their ultimate objective is to provide the prompt, efficient care that increasing numbers of patients will need in the years ahead.

“I’m opening this new chapter of my life with the expectation that this new experience will be extremely rewarding. I also hope I will be able to achieve something of value for the community that has placed its confidence in me.”

Together with Ms. Dupuis, and in partnership with all of the institutions in our network, I am eager to embark on this new era in health care. Our unity and cooperation are the keys to improving the patient experience, enhancing the continuum of care, providing greater efficiency in the delivery of healthcare services, and using funds more effectively.
